Pune Porsche Crash Teen’s Father, Grandfather Booked in Abetment of Suicide Case

Pune:  The father and grandfather of the teenager involved in the Pune May 19 car accident case that claimed lives of two IT professional have been booked by the Pune police in a separate case of abetment of suicide of a local businessman’s son.

Pune based businessman DS Kature had registered a complaint against the Pune car accident accused youngster’s father, grandfather and three others alleging that they were responsible for the suicide of his son who died in January 2023.

According to a police complaint, Kature’s Son Shashikant Katur had committed suicide after being harassed by an accused from whom he took a loan. He later committed suicide.

Following the suicide, police had registered a case of abetment against the teen’s father under IPC sections 306 and 506 at the Chandannagar police station in the city.

According to Pune Police, “During the ongoing car accident investigation, the role of the juvenile’s father, grandfather and three others surfaced in the abetment of suicide case.

The father of the accused is now in police custody regarding the manipulation of blood samples. His grandfather is in judicial custody following his arrest for allegedly abducting the family driver and forcing him to take responsibility for the accident instead of his minor grandson.
