Two Dead, 20 Injured As Bus Hits Truck From Rear in Jajpur District

Jajpur: At least two persons lost their lives and 20 others were injured when the private bus in which they were travelling hit a cement-laden truck from the backside at Karei square under Barchana police station limits in Jajpur district in the wee hours of Saturday.

The deceased were identified as the driver and the conductor of the bus.

According to sources, the bus was travelling from Kolkata to Puri.

Seven of the 20 injured, who were in critical condition were transported to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The others are undergoing treatment at the Barchana hospital.
