Emergency Landing of Damam bound Air India flight in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: An Air India Kozhikode – Damam flight with around 168 passengers made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport on Friday when it developed a technical snag during the flight.

According to reports, this flight took off at around 9.44 am from Karipur Airport in Calicut. After flying for around 2 hours, it reportedly started losing its fuel capacity before landing.

A similar incident occurred on Wednesday. An Air India Newark (US)-Delhi flight (AI106) with nearly 300 passengers made an emergency landing at Sweden’s Stockholm airport after it developed a technical snag on Wednesday. This aircraft had to be diverted as it had an oil leak in one of the engines.
