Man Dies while Saving Son from Drowning in Odisha’s Ganjam

Ganjam: A man died while saving his son from drowning in the Ghodahada river at Talasinghi village under  Digapahandi block in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The deceased was identified as Arun Panda and his son as Alok Panda. According to reports, Arun was on a visit to his in-laws’ village Talasinghi had gone to the Ghodahada river for a bath along with his 10-year-old son Alok in the afternoon.

While bathing, he saw his son drowning. On seeing his son Alok drown, Arun dived into deep water to save his son. He saved his son but unfortunately, he got drowned.

On being informed, Fire Service personnel reached the spot and fished out Arun’s body from the river.
