Pakistanis Protest Against Checking to Stop Smuggling of Eatables, Petrol; Block Pak-Iran Highway

Pakistan-Iran highway at Dalbandin Bypass was blocked by hundreds of small car owners and drivers in Pakistan, reported Pakistan’s Roznama Intekhab. They protested against strict checking by Pakistan security forces to prevent the smuggling of sugar, flour, Iranian petrol and diesel by closing the Pakistan-Iran Highway.

According to Daily Khabrain, Iran and Afghan borders are connected with the Pakistan border. People unable to buy food at high prices usually prefer to smuggle sugar, flour, petrol and diesel at lower price from outside the country.

The people of the area said that some other necessary goods are coming from Afghanistan which should be allowed to them so that the local people get employment, Daily Khabrain reported.
