Bhubaneswar: IMD predicted the possibility of extremely hot weather for Odisha in the next few days. This coincides with the possibility of Cyclonic Storm Mocha forming over the Bay of Bengal,
As per the forecast of the Bhubaneswar MeT office, the maximum in Odisha temperature is likely to rise further by 2-3 degree Celsius during the next two days. With it, the day temperature in some parts of the state is likely to be 40 degree Celsius or more during the next 4 to 5 days.
Taking this summer temperature rise into account, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to Twitter to share a few tips for the citizens to remain safe during the possible heat wave. He suggested families to keep emergency kits ready with them. This emergency that includes water bottle, glucose/ORS, umbrella/hat/cap to counter the heat wave condition.
