CEO of Private Firm Booked for Rape of NRI Woman from US

New Delhi: The CEO of a private firm in Delhi was booked for allegedly raping an NRI woman who worked at his office. According to the police, he allegedly raped the woman at a five-star hotel in the Chanakyapuri district of Delhi on September 14, 2023. The victim is an Indian-Origin US citizen.

Based on her complaint registered on Saturday night, an FIR has been filed against the accused under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code at Chanakyapuri police station.

According to the complainant, she served as an assistant general manager at the company where the accused was the CEO.

The accused CEO was a friend of her uncle and had helped her in getting the job. A probe is underway in the matter.
