Youth Shot At in Polasara of Ganjam District 

Polasara: A youth was seriously injured when he was shot at in Polasara block of Ganjam district on Thursday.

The injured man has been identified as Ganesh Khatei. The reason behind the firing incident is yet to be ascertained. Local police have reached the spot for investigation.

The injured youth has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

On Wednesday night, one person was killed and seven others were injured in an incident of pre-poll violence at Sri Krishna Sharanpur village under the Khallikote police station limits in Ganjam district. According to reports, it was a clash between BJP and BJD activists over putting up posters and banners.
