Tourists Escape Miraculously as Helicopter With Technical Snag Makes Emergency Landing in Kedarnath

Dehradun: Seven persons including six pilgrims had a miraculous escape as the helicopter in which they were travelling suffered a technical snag and made an emergency landing in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath on Friday morning.

The helicopter managed to land a few metres away from the helipad near the Kedarnath temple. The six pilgrims and the pilot escaped unhurt.

According to the Rudraprayag district administration, the helicopter was travelling to Kedarnath from the Sirsi helipad. It developed a technical snag in its rear motor. But the pilot managed to make an emergency landing.

The pilgrims in the helicopter were safe and returned after having “darshan” at the Kedarnath temple.
