Nitish Kumar, Arch-Rival Tejashwi Yadav Board Same Plane to Delhi to Be Part of NDA, INDIA Bloc Next Plans

New Delhi: Top political leaders of both NDA and INDIA are reaching Delhi on Wednesday to chalk out thei rrespective plans for the future.

Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal United (JDU) chief Nitish Kumar and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu are among the NDA leaders who are flying to Delhi Delhi.

Interestingly, Nitish Kumar and his former INDIA ally and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD boarded the same plane to Delhi. Tejashwi was seen seating behind Nitish Kumar on board the flight.

In the 543-member Parliament, the BJP-led NDA won 294 seats and the INDIA bloc got 234 seats.

A party or coalition needs two-third majority of 272 seats to form the Union government.

The meeting by the Union Cabinet is scheduled to take place on Wednesday afternoon at 3.30 pm while the meeting by the INDIA bloc will be held at 6 pm.

Telegu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar of JDU are said to be the kingmakers in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP won 240 seats, much lower than its 2019 tally of 303. The BJP is not in a position to form the government on its own. It needs the support of other parties in his coalition – JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar and TDP’s chief Chandrababu Naidu as it fall short of 32 seats to reach the 272 majority mark.
