Bari (Italy): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently in Italy for the G7 Summit, engaged in separate bilateral discussions with several world leaders. On the sidelines of the event, he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In talks with President Macron, PM Modi explored avenues to enhance cooperation in defence, nuclear energy, space, education, climate action, digital public infrastructure, critical technologies, connectivity, and cultural exchange, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs. The leaders also shared perspectives on significant global and regional issues.
PM Modi arrived in Apulia, Italy, earlier today to participate in the G7 Summit’s outreach session and is scheduled for multiple bilateral meetings on Friday. This visit marks his first international trip since beginning his third term as Prime Minister.
Expressing his enthusiasm, PM Modi tweeted, “Looking forward to engaging in productive discussions with world leaders. Together, we aim to address global challenges and foster international cooperation for a brighter future.”
