‘Rukmini Haran’ Rituals Delayed At Puri Jagannath Temple Due to Dispute Between Two Groups Of Servitors

Puri: A dispute between two groups of sevayats delayed the Sri Jagannath-Rukmini marriage rituals at Puri Jagannath temple for around five hours.

According to sources, Jagannath-Rukmani marriage rituals were supposed to be held on Tuesday night coinciding with the Rukmani Harana Ekadasi. But hot altercation between the Pujapanda and Singari servitors disrupted the conduct of the rituals.

The ‘Hataganthi Fita’ ritual which was supposed to be performed on Ekadasi, was delayed by 5 hours because of this dispute between the servitors.

The Rukmani Harana Ekadasi is observed on the occasion of Jyestha Sukla Ekadasi.
