Youth Missing in Sea Near Aryapalli Coast in Ganjam Dist, Helicopter Used for Search Operation

Berhampur: A youth went missing in the sea near the Aryapalli coast in Ganjam district on Thursday.

The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Satyabrat Sahu directed the intensification of rescue operations. The Coast Guard deployed a helicopter to help in the search and rescue efforts.

The personnel of the fire brigade, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and local police are at the spot and are continuing the search operation.

The missing youth has been identified as Hemansen Behera from K. Aryapalli village.

According to reports, he was swimming in the sea along with four to five friends on Wednesday when a huge wave swept him away.
