ED Challenges Kejriwal’s Bail in HC as He is Set to Leave Jail Today

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has challenged the bail granted to the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case linked to the Delhi liquor policy in the Delhi High Court.

Top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party will go to greet Arvind Kejriwal as he walks out of Tihar jail on Friday. He was granted bail on Thursday in a corruption case linked to the Delhi liquor policy. His lawyer argued that the ED had presented no evidence against Mr Kejriwal.

Kejriwal will be released from jail in the evening. Ahead of his release, AAP will show up its strength through a protest over the water shortage in the national capital.

Delhi Water Minister Atishi and Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, will visit the Raj Ghat on Friday, where Atishi will take up an indefinite hunger strike.

Delhi government have approached the Supreme Court claiming that neighbouring Haryana is blocking water from coming into the national capital.
