New Trailer of Kalki 2898 AD Released; SS Rajamouli Amazed by Kamal Haasan’s Look

Mumbai: The makers of Prabhas’ upcoming dystopian sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD have released a new trailer offering never-before-seen glimpses of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone’s characters. The movie will be released on June 27.

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli gave a shout out to Nag Ashwin’s film. The RRR director wrote about the film’s trailer on X saying, “Power packed trailer it is…It sets the right mood and tone to watch the film FDFS. Amitabh ji, Darling (Prabhas) and Deepika’s characters seem to have a lot of depth and are truly intriguing.”

About Kamal Haasan’s almost unrecognisable appearance in the trailer, SS Rajamouli wrote, “I am still stuck on Kamal sir’s look and how he amazes as always. Nagi… can’t wait to immerse into your world on the 27th.”

The two-minute-22-second-long trailer begins with Ashwatthama telling Deepika’s character that God resides in her womb before he goes on to fight Prabhas with all his might. The trailer reveals Kamal Haasan’s look from the film. The actor, who plays the Supreme Yaskin, looks unrecognisable with a bald head and wrinkled face. He comments on how people would not change their nature no matter how many chances they get.

Kalki 2898 AD also stars Disha Patani, Brahmanandam and Shobhana.
