2 Bihari Frauds Nabbed From Falaknuma Express With Rs 24 In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Two frauds from Bihar were nabbed by the personnel of the Telangana Police with the help of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Odisha from the Falaknuma Express between Cuttack and Jajpur stations on Monday for allegedly conning a man of around Rs 30 lakh.

The arrested cheats were identified as Ramnarayan Yadav (40) and Sk Siraj (43) of Katihar district of Bihar. They had allegedly duped a man in Nalgonda district of Telangana of over Rs 30 lakh promising to double the money in a short period.

A case had been registered against the duo in Telangana. Telangana police tracked the mobile phones of the accused persons and they were found to be travelling in the Falaknuma Express.

Telangana police contacted the RPF in Odisha. A joint operation led to the arrest of duo from the running train between Cuttack and Jajpur railway stations.

Cash worth around Rs 24 lakh was seized from the accused persons. The arrested duo was handed over to the Telangana police for further legal action.
