Odisha Govt to Open Ratna Bhandar of Puri Jagannath Temple Soon: Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has confirmed plans to open the Ratna Bhandar of the Puri Jagannath Temple shortly. Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday announced that preparations are underway to access the treasury of the 12th-century shrine.

“We are in the process of opening the Ratna Bhandar,” Harichandan said. The state government is finalizing the procedures and will soon decide the exact date and method for opening the treasury.

The minister underlined the necessity of inspecting the inner chambers of the Ratna Bhandar and conducting an inventory of its precious jewels. The state is keen to ensure a thorough examination of the treasury’s condition.
