Sonakshi Sinha Will Not Embrace Islam After Marrying Zaheer Iqbal

Mumbai: Actor Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of Bollywood veteran Shatrughan Sinha will not convert to Islam after marrying Zaheer Iqbal.

Zaheer’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, has said the actress will not be converting to Islam. The couple reportedly had a civil marriage.

Ratansi informed that the wedding had ‘neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. In an interview he said that Sonakshi will not convert for sure, asserting that ‘religion has no role to play’.

Shatrughan Sinha gave his blessings to the newlyweds.

After seven years of dating, Sonakshi and Zaheer got married followed by a celebration at actress Shilpa Shetty’s luxurious restaurant, Bastian, in Mumbai.

Several celebrities joined the couple on their special day.
