Elderly Man Dies to Bee Attack in Malkangiri Dist, Grandson Injured

Malkangiri: An aged man died to bee attack, while his grandson was seriously injured by bee stings at Barangbadi village under Machhakund police station limits in Malkangiri district on Tuesday.

The deceased, whose identity has not been ascertained was inside a forest near the village along with his grandson to graze cattle, when they were stung by a swarm of honeybees.

Hearing their cry for help, the locals rescued them and rushed them to the nearby hospital. The elderly man died in the hospital while the youngster is undergoing treatment.

On May 4, at least 10 persons were injured in a bee attack at Demuria village under Jaleswar block in Balasore whiel they were cremating a man of the village.
