Devotee Crushed Under Chariot Wheel During Rath Yatra in Jharsuguda Dist

Jharsuguda: A devotee died when he accidentally fell under the wheels of the chariot of Rath Yatra at Kukurjangha under Badamal police station limits of Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Sunday.

The accident occurred during the pulling of chariot of Jagannath temple at Kukujangha village. The deceased was identified as Shyam Sundar Kishan of the area. He lost balance in the crowd and accidentally fell down and the chariot ran over him.

Kishan was rescued in a very critical condition and was rushed to the Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). He died during treatment.
