12 Arrested for Impersonating Candidates in CTET Exam in Bihar

Patna: Twelve persons were arrested by the Bihar Police on Sunday for allegedly impersonating candidates in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)-2024 at various examination centres in Darbhanga district. The arrested persons include two women.

Nine arrests were made from different centres under Laheriasarai police station, while two were nabbed from a centre under Sadar police station of Darbhanga. One person was arrested from a centre under Bahadurpur police station. The impersonation identified through biometric fingerprint scans of candidates at the examination centres.

Cases have been registered against the impersonators they are being interrogated. Police are trying to track down the genuine candidates.

Police are investigating whether the arrested are part of any interstate cheating syndicate or not.
