Class I Girl Dies of Snakebite in Govt Residential School in Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: In a heartbreaking incident, a young girl lost her life due to a snakebite at a government residential school in Bhanjanagar block in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The victim, Ridhi Pradhan, a Class I student at Darpangia Residential School, was bitten by a venomous snake while sleeping in the hostel on Sunday night.

Upon hearing Ridhi’s screams, fellow students alerted the hostel authorities. Ridhi was immediately taken to Bhanjanagar Hospital, where she succumbed to the snakebite during treatment. Her father, Gobarsingh Pradhan, was notified, and the tragic news was confirmed by doctors early Monday morning around 6 AM.
