Crime Branch Arrests 7 Road Romeos Who Assaulted Army Major, His Fiancé

Bhubaneswar: Seven road romeos who allegedly threatened and assaulted an Army Major and his fiancé on Saturday night were arrested by the Crime Branch of Odisha police on Friday. They were accused of reckless driving and threatening an Army officer. They are being interrogated at the Chandaka police station.

The Crime Branch took up an investigation into the road rage incident following a formal complaint lodged by the Army officer on September 18.

The Army officer posted in West Bengal and his fiancé were allegedly stopped and harassed by some local youths late Saturday night following which they approached the Bharatpur police station.

It is alleged that the cops at the Bharatpur police station kept

army officer in the lockup and assaulted him. His female friend was allegedly assaulted, stripped and sexually assaulted by the cops including the IIC of the police station.
