Married Man, His Teen Girlfriend Found Hanging From Tree in Salipur of Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: In an extra-marital shocker, a married man was found hanging from a tree along with his teenage girlfriend at Alipur village under Salipur police station limits in Cuttack district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Manoj Samal (30) of Alipur village and a teenage girl from neighbouring Paga village.

According to reports, Samal had married five years back and has a three-year-old son. During the recent past, he was having an extramarital affair with the teenager.

The girl’s father had lodged a missing complaint at the Paga outpost as the girl had not returned home on Friday night. They are said to be unaware of her relationship with Manoj.

According to sources, the girl came to Manoj’s house on Friday and then both of them went out together. Manoj also did not return home at night.

On Saturday morning, villagers found both of them hanging from a tree located in a deserted area near the village.

Police seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Police are investigating this double suicide.
