Engineering Student Arrested for Recording Videos Of Girls In College Washroom

Bengaluru: A 21-year-old engineering student was arrested by the police on Saturday for allegedly recording videos of girls students inside the washroom of a college near Bengaluru.

This incident occurred at the ACS College of Engineering in Kumbalgodu on the outskirts of Bengaluru. It was alleged that the accused used to record videos of girl students inside washroom on his mobile phone and was circulating them on social media.

Students’ protest erupted in the engineering college when the news spread around. Police had to intervene to control the situation.

The arrested accused was identified as a seventh-semester Computer Science student.

According reports quoting police sources, the the accused had recorded around 7-8 videos on his mobile, which were discovered by his classmates. He allegedly threatened to kill them if they revealed it to others.

In August, a similar incident happened in Andhra Pradesh when some students allegedly found a hidden camera in the women’s toilet at the SR Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Krishna district.
