Nursing Student Molested at Gun Point Inside College in UP

Lucknow: Two persons allegedly molested a nursing student at gunpoint inside a college in Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The accused were identified as Suresh Kumar (35), a tile contractor, and his partner Anmol. Suresh has been arrested and police are searching for Anmol.

The victim is studying in a nursing college located in the Chowk Kotwali area of Shajahanpur.

On Monday, Suresh and Anmol, allegedly caught the student in the college washroom and molested her, said police sources. They gagged her mouth and pointed a gun at her head when she tried to shout and protest.

Showing courage, the nursing student bit Suresh’s hand and ran out of the bathroom screaming.

Hearing her screams, the nursing college staff and other students rushed to the spot. Seeing them, the duo tried to escape. But Suresh was caught and handed over to the police.

An FIR has been lodged against both accused under relevant sections related to attempt to murder and molestation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
