Two Brothers Killed as Their Scooter Hit by Truck in Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: Two brothers died when the scooter on which they were travelling was hit by a truck on NH49 near Bangiriposhi in the Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday night.

After hitting, the accident causing truck dragged the scooter along with the youths for around 50 meters. Both died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Rabindra Behera and Atmananda Behera, brothers from the Chandanpur village. They were involved in fish trading.

They met with the accident while returning home on a scooter.

The locals nabbed the driver of the truck and handed him over to the police. Police have detained the driver.

Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for postmortem.
