Assault on Army Officer, Fiancée: Suspended Bharatpur IIC Agrees to Polygraph, Narco-Tests

Bhubaneswar: Suspended Bharatpur Police Station Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) Dinakrushna Mishra appeared before the SDJM Court in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday regarding the alleged assault on an Indian Army officer and his fiancée. Mishra has consented to undergo a polygraph test and other investigative procedures.

Reports reveal that Mishra will take the polygraph test after the court issues a directive. The move follows a Crime Branch petition seeking the test to verify the claims against him. Along with the polygraph, Mishra has also agreed to undergo narco-analysis and brain-mapping tests.

The incident in question occurred when Mishra, along with four other police officers, allegedly assaulted and misbehaved with the Army officer and his fiancée, who had visited the Bharatpur police station to lodge a complaint over a road rage incident. All five officers, including Mishra, have been suspended.
