West Indies Cricket Legend Dwayne Bravo Declares Retirement From All Forms

Noted all-rounder of West Indies, Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Recently he withdrew from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) due to an injury.

Bravo, who will turn 41 in October, is the leading wicket-taker in the T20 format.

Bravo retired from international cricket in 2021 and his stint in the Indian Premier League in 2023. He then shifted to coaching roles, featuring for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Afghanistan.

“Today is the day I say goodbye to the game that has given me everything. From the age of five, I knew this was what I wanted to do–this was the sport I was destined to play. I had no interest in anything else, and I dedicated my entire life to you. In return, you gave me the life I dreamed of for myself and my family. For that, I can’t thank you enough,” Bravo said in a post on Instagram.
