Girl Student Found Hanging in Pharmacy College Hostel in Berhampur

Berhampur: A female student of a pharmacy college was found hanging in her hostel room in Khodasingi area of Berhampur on Friday. Gopalpur Police recovered the body and sent it to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.

The deceased was identified as Rituparna Das (19), a second year DPharma student at Roland College of Pharmacy, who was residing in the hostel of the institute at Khodasingi area of Berhampur. She hailed from the Krushnaprasad area in Puri district.

As per reports, Rituparna’s family members claimed that they spoke with her on Thursday night and suspected that the girl may have been murdered. They demanded a proper investigation into her death.
