Mayank Yadav Earns Maiden Call-Up as India Announce Squad For Bangladesh T20Is

Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Bangladesh.

Fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who impressed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Lucknow Super Giants, earned his first national team call-up, thanks to his pace and precision.

The squad also features the return of mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy and wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma. However, Sanju Samson is expected to be the first-choice wicketkeeper for the team led by Suryakumar Yadav.

Newcomers Nitish Kumar Reddy, a seam-bowling all-rounder, and pacer Harshit Rana could potentially make their international debuts during the series.

The T20I series kicks off on October 6 in Gwalior, with subsequent matches scheduled for October 9 in New Delhi and October 12 in Hyderabad.
