Jammu: Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge fell sick while addressing an election rally in Jammu’s Jasrotia. He was speaking about the rising militancy in Jammu and paying tribute to the slain constable when he suddenly felt uneasiness.

He later received medical attention and returned back to tell the crowd that he would not die until Prime Minister Narendra Modi was removed from power.

“We will fight to restore statehood. I am 83 years old. I am not going to die so early. I will stay alive until Prime Minister Narendra Modi is removed from power. I wanted to talk. But due to dizziness, I have sat down. Please excuse me,” he said

According to reports, later on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up Congress president Kharge to enquire about his health.
