Colour & Design Of School Uniforms Changed by Odisha’s BJP Govt

Bhubaneswar: Under the Mukhyamantri Chhatra Chhatri Paridhan Yojana, the Mohan Charan Majhi-led new BJP government in Odisha on Tuesday changed the colour and design of school uniforms for Class IX and X students of public and government-aided schools.

The green colour of the uniforms introduced by the previous BJD government in 2023 was changed to light brown and maroon. The boys will wear checkered light brown shirts and maroon pants while girls will wear checkered kurta with maroon jacket and salwar.

The School and Mass Education Department, in a letter to Director, Secondary Education informed that the government has approved the final design and colour of the uniforms. As per the letter, the new design may be implemented in schools where uniforms in the old design have not been stitched or distributed.
