Iran Names Israeli PM Netanyahu, Top Military Leaders in Alleged ‘Execution List’

Iran has allegedly issued a list of “Israeli terrorists” it intends to target, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. The list, circulated via a poster on X (formerly Twitter), also names several top Israeli military officials, such as the commanders of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi, his deputy Amir Baram, and other senior commanders.

Neither Israel nor Iran has officially responded to the poster. However, some sources within Iranian military intelligence suggest Israeli leaders, potentially including Netanyahu, could be targeted. The poster lists military figures such as Major Generals Ori Gordin, Yehuda Fox, Eliezer Toledani and Military Intelligence Chief Aharon Haliva.

If authentic, this list appears to be Iran’s response to recent reports of Israel planning an assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following Israel’s targeting of Hezbollah’s leadership.

This development mirrors Israel’s actions last month when it released a list of eliminated Hezbollah commanders, sharing it on Instagram. Israel claimed to have killed 11 Hezbollah leaders, including members of the elite Radwan Force.

In retaliation for the deaths of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders, Iran launched a large-scale missile strike against Israel on Tuesday, the second in seven months. Tehran stated the attack was in response to Israeli airstrikes that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Tensions between Israel and Iran have escalated dramatically, with fears of a broader conflict in West Asia. Israeli officials have vowed to respond strategically, while Tehran has warned of further “crushing attacks” if Israel retaliates. Diplomats across the region are scrambling to prevent an all-out war, while the U.S. has warned Iran of severe consequences for its military actions.

As violence continues, Israel has also targeted Lebanon, with recent airstrikes hitting Hezbollah strongholds in Beirut. Over the past two weeks, nearly 1,900 people have been killed and more than 9,000 wounded in Lebanon, while over 41,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in Israeli strikes, according to local authorities.
