UP Man With A Collection Of 1,257 Radios Enters Guinness World Records

Lucknow: Ram Singh Boudh from Gajraula in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh has got mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records for his unique collection of over 1257 radios.

Boudh is known as the ‘radio man of India’. He claims to have set up the only radio museum in the world.

The radios collected by him are from the 1920s to 2010. He bought them from various markets of the country, including Delhi and Meerut.

He has 1,400 radios. But as per the guidelines of the Guinness World Records, the duplicates were removed from the list making Boudh’s collection to be 1,257 radios. Boudh has broken the previous record of M Prakash, who had a collection of 625 radios.

In November 2023, during his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognised Boudh’s efforts sharing a letter by Boudh.

Following PM’s mention, Mr Boudh received a special invitation for the Republic Day parade in New Delhi this year.

Boudh is a retired supervisor of Warehouse Corporation of India.
