Narcotics Seized During Surprise Raid at Sambalpur Circle Jail

Sambalpur: A huge cache of narcotics products was seized during an early morning surprise raid at Sambalpur Circle Jail on Friday.

This raid was conducted in the presence of the Magistrate, Sambalpur Additional SP and Sadar SDPO from 3:30 am till 6:30 am.

During the raid at all the 22 wards of the prison, tobacco products, bidi, khaini, lighters, and narcotics like ‘bhang’ was seized from the inmates.

There are 576 inmates lodged in 22 wards of the Sambalpur Circle Jail. Apart from Sambalpur, the raids were also conducted in Bargarh jail, reports said.
