10 Labourers Killed as Truck Hits Tractor-Trailer from Behind in UP

Lucknow: Ten labourers lost their lives in a collision between a tractor-trailer and a truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur late Thursday night. Three persons were injured in this accident that happened near Kachhwa border.

According to reports, the tractor-trailer was carrying 13 labourers towards Varanasi. A truck  truck lost control and hit it from behind at around 1 am on Kachhwa border, GT Road.

Ten of the 13 people died on the spot.

The injured were admitted to the Banaras Hindu University Trauma Centre.

According to police sources, the ill-fated 13 daily-wage labourers were returning home after completing work in Bhadohi district. They were on their way to their village Mirzamurad in the Varanasi district.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of road accident victims.
