GATE 2025 Registration Deadline Extended Again; Here’s How to Apply

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has extended the last date for GATE 2025 registration. Candidates who missed the earlier deadline can now submit their applications with a late fee until October 11, 2024. The official notification states, “Due to multiple requests from applicants, the extended online registration deadline (with late fee) has been further extended until 11:59 PM on October 11, 2024 (Friday).”

The GATE 2025 examination will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, with results expected on March 19, 2025. Admit cards will be available from January 2, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Students currently in their third year or later of an undergraduate programme, as well as those with government-recognised degrees in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities, can apply for the exam.

How to Apply for GATE 2025

1. Visit the official GATE website
2. Click on “Apply Online.”
3. Complete the registration process.
4. Fill in the necessary details, pay the application fee, and submit the form.
5. Save a copy of the application for future reference.

Application Fees

– Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates: ₹900 (per paper)
– Other candidates, including foreign nationals: ₹1,800 (per paper)

The GATE 2025 exam will be a 3-hour test (or 4 hours for candidates with compensatory time) and will consist of 65 questions, carrying a total of 100 marks. It automatically concludes when the time ends.

GATE is a prestigious national-level exam that tests candidates’ knowledge in various undergraduate subjects across Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, and Humanities. The exam is essential for admission to postgraduate programmes and is also used for recruitment by select Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
