Surrounded by Police, Rape-Murder Accused Shoots Self in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: A rape and murder accused on the run shot himself dead with a pistol when he was surrounded by police at Siddh Baba hillock near the Puchi village in Chhattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to police sources, this incident occurred on Tuesday.

The rape and murder accused Bhola Ahirwar (25) first shot at the police and later shot himself dead.

Two months back, a minor girl had lodged an FIR of rape against Bhola Ahirwar. He was absconding since then. On Monday, he entered the girl’s house and shot at her, her paternal grandfather and uncle. The grandfather (65), died on the spot while the 17-year-old girl and her uncle (24) were critically injured. Bhola managed to escape from the spot.

Police teams tracked him down on Tuesday and surrounded him at the hillock before he killed himself with a country-made pistol.

Earlier, Bhola had also posted a note on social media claiming that he was innocent in the rape case. He, however, claimed responsibility for shooting at the victim and her relatives.
