Couple Commits Suicide Over Marital Dispute In Koraput Dist

Koraput: A couple committed suicide at Bamuniput village under Jeypore Sadar police station limits in Koraput district on Thursday allegedly following a marital dispute.

The deceased are identified as Suman Saura and his wife Sumitra Saura.

According to the police, Suman and Sumitra had a quarrel on Thursday morning. When the marital tussle aggravated, Suman hanged himself using a saree. Shocked by this drastic act of her husband Sumitra too hanged herself using a stole.

After receiving information, personnel of the Jeypore Sadar police station reached the spot and seized the bodies for postmortem.

Preliminary investigation by the police hints that marital problems led to the suicide of the couple.
