Woman Trampled to Death by Wild Elephant in Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: A wild elephant trampled a woman to death in the Khuntuni forest range in the Cuttack district.

The trampled body of the woman was found in the Gobara Reserve forest in the Khuntuni Forest Range in the Athagarh area.

The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Bela Taria of Khirikhia village under Gurudijhatia Police Station limits in Cuttack district.

As per reports, the woman faced an elephant attack while she was inside the Gobara Reserve Forest to graze goats on Thursday. When she did not return home in the evening, her family members searched for her.

On Friday morning, her body was found in the forest. Forest officials of Khuntuni rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. It has been revealed that she has been trampled to death by an elephant.
