Noel Tata Becomes New Chairman of Tata Trusts: Report

Mumbai: Noel Tata was appointed on October 11 as chairman of Tata Group’s philanthropic organization, Tata Trusts, reported CNBC TV18 channel citing sources.

Noel Tata is the half-brother of legendary Ratan Tata who passed away on October 9 at the age of 86.

According to CNBC TV 18, Noel’s selection as the chairman of Tata Trust was a unanimous decision at the meeting held in Mumbai on October 11.

Ratan Tata was unmarried with no children. He did not name a successor at Tata Trusts.
