Food Delivery Executive Killed, 3 Injured After Speeding Audi Hits Bike in Pune

Pune: A food delivery executive was killed, and three others were injured in Pune’s Koregaon Park area after a speeding Audi car collided with their two-wheeler during the early hours of Friday.

The accident occurred between 1:30 am and 1:35 am on the ACB Farm Chowk-Tadiguta Chowk road, according to police reports.

The driver, identified as Ayush Pradip Tayal (34), a senior executive at a multinational company and a resident of Hadapsar, fled the scene following the crash. Tayal’s Audi reportedly hit the motorcycle ridden by Rauf Akbar Sheikh, a delivery executive, who was returning home at the time of the incident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V), R Raja, stated that CCTV footage helped identify and apprehend Tayal from his residence. The injured individuals were rushed to Nobel Hospital, where Sheikh was later declared dead during treatment.

Authorities are yet to confirm if Tayal was under the influence of alcohol, as they await the results of his medical tests. A case has been registered at the Mundhwa police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway.
