Chandigarh: The new Haryana Council of Ministers will take oath on October 15 at Panchkula. Several top leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Union ministers and Chief Ministers of the BJP-ruled states are expected to attend the grand ceremony.

The sprawling Parade Ground in Sector 5 in Panchkula will be the venue for the swearing-in ceremony as it can accommodate thousands of party leaders and workers expected to participate.

Sources said the ceremony would be preceded by a meeting of the BJP legislature party on October 14, in which Nayab Singh Saini is expected to be chosen as the leader of the legislature party.

Haryana’s senior administrative and police officials visited the venue on Friday to oversee the preparations. Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad has constituted a committee under the Panchkula collector to make and oversee preparations for the swearing in ceremony.
