3 Noida College Students Arrested for Stealing Car to Help Friend Take His Girlfriend for a Drive

Noida: Three university students have been arrested for allegedly stealing a brand-new Hyundai Venue from a showroom in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The trio, identified as Shrey, Aniket Nagar and Deepanshu Bhati, plotted the heist to help one of them impress his girlfriend by taking her out for a ride in the stolen vehicle.

The incident occurred on September 26, when two of the accused approached a car dealer at a car bazaar and requested a test drive of the Hyundai Venue. Wearing helmets, they stood near the exit gate while the dealer drove the car out of the parking lot. Once outside, one of the men took the driver’s seat while the other sat in the back. They then sped off after pushing the dealer out of the vehicle.

CCTV footage from over 100 cameras and manual intelligence were used by the police to trace the suspects. The stolen car, which had tinted windows and ‘Nagar’ written on it, was eventually recovered. All three individuals have been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
