13 Illegally Run Coaching Centres Sealed in Delhi After 3 IAS Aspirants Die in Basement Flooding

New Delhi: Thirteen coaching centres that were being run illegally in basements of buildings in the Old Rajinder Nagar area of Delhi were sealed up by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The MCD initiated action against the illegally run coaching centres after three IAS aspirants died in the basement of their institute which got flooded following heavy rains.

The sealed-up caching centres included IAS Gurukul, Chahal Academy, Plutus Academy, Sai Trading, IAS Setu, Topper’s Academy, Dainik Samvad, Civils Daily IAS, Career Power, 99 Notes, Vidya Guru, Guidance IAS, and Easy for IAS.

These coaching centres were operating in basements in violating the rules. They were sealed up and notices were pasted.

The Rau’s IAS Study Circle, where the deaths due to flooding occurred has already been sealed by the police. Three civil services aspirants — two females and a male — died after a library housed in the basement of Rau’s IAS centre got flooded after rains on Saturday evening.
