13-Yr-Old Boy Kills a 12-Yr-Old for Quarrel over Playing Cricket in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A 13-year-old boy allegedly killed a boy aged 12 following a quarrel over playing cricket in the Bagadikidki area of Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district. Although the incident occurred on June 3, it came to light on Wednesday only after the mother of the deceased registered a complaint with the police.

According to sources, the accused juvenile hit the victim’s head with a cricket bat. The seriously injured victim died on June 5 while undergoing treatment. Family of the deceased boy preferred to bury the body without informing the police.

But his mother complained before the local police regarding the death of the child. Police exhumed the body on Wednesday for investigation.

A case was registered against the accused under Indian Penal Code Section 302 (murder). But the assailant boy had not been apprehended.
