3 BSF Soldiers Killed, 28 Injured as Bus Falls Into Gorge in J&K’s Budgam

Srinagar: Three Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers lost their lives, and 28 others were injured when a bus they were travelling in plunged into a 40-foot-deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, police reported.

The accident occurred while the 52-seater bus, part of a seven-vehicle convoy, was heading for BSF deployment for the upcoming phase of assembly elections. A total of 35 BSF personnel were on board when the bus veered off the road.

The injured soldiers are receiving treatment in a nearby hospital, with at least 6 reportedly in critical condition.
