3-Day Bhubaneswar Film Festival (BFF) Starts Today

Bhubaneswar: The three-day Bhubaneswar Film Festival (BFF) will commence in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

This special film festival aimed to showcase the Odia film industry is organized by a group of film directors, scriptwriters, and technical experts of the film world.

Fifteen classic Odia movies, including ‘Maya Miriga‘ (The Mirage, 1984), ‘Mala Janha‘ (1965), will be screened at the Bhubaneswar Film Festival. Five Odia films will be screened daily between 10.00 am and 9.00 pm.

A book titled ‘Odia Cinema @ 90: Rhythms, Rendisons and Reflections’ compiling the history of Odia cinema during the past nine decades will be released during the festival.

Two ‘Master Classes’ on film acting and script writing will be conducted conducted by famous Bollywood filmmaker and casting director Mukesh Chhabra and Amit Roy, director of the ‘Oh My God 2′.

Eminent film directors Ketan Mehta and Deepa Sahi, Director of the National School of Drama, Chittaranjan Tripathy, and Odia film directors Apurba Bir and Prasanta Nanda will grace the inaugural session of the film festival.
