3 Killed as Truck Hits Autorickshaw in Kalahandi District

Bhawanipatna: At least three persons died in an accident near Dasigaon village under Junagarh Block in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Tuesday. This accident involved a truck and an autorickshaw.

The ill-fated autorickshaw was transporting passengers from Thuamul Rampur to Junagarh when it was hit by a truck at Chikili square. At the time of the accident, there were nine persons in the autorickshaw including its driver. All of them were seriously injured.

Receiving information, personnel of the Chiliguda police outpost rushed to the spot and transported the injured persons to Kalampur Community Health Center (CHC), where doctors declared three victims as brought dead.

The identities of the victims had not been ascertained.
